Partnership is most meaningful when it shows up in the hands of the people it’s meant to serve. Through Global Links’ Personal Care Kits Initiative, our collaboration is taking shape in a tangible way. Eco-Soap Bank's soap will now be part of their growing project, getting hygiene resources to those who need it most.
Angela J. Garcia, Executive Director of Global Links, reflected on exactly what makes this collaboration so meaningful to us: shared values, mutual respect, and a clear connection between our missions.
“Since we were introduced almost 10 years ago, Global Links and Eco-Soap Bank sought ways to collaborate around our shared values of reuse and supporting health & hygiene... As Global Links’ personal care kit project has grown to over 10,000 kits donated through local food pantries annually, we are excited to now be able to purchase bar soap in bulk from Eco Soap Bank, whose mission to employ women to recycle soap scrap into new bars and distribute to people who need them aligns perfectly with Global Links’ mission to improve health in communities with need while building partnerships to improve access to essential care.”
— Angela J. Garcia, Executive Director, Global Links
Global Links and Eco-Soap Bank share a clear alignment in how we each approach service and impact. Both organizations care deeply about improving health outcomes, both believe in the power of partnership, and both understand that access to basic hygiene products can make a real difference in people’s daily lives.
At Eco-Soap Bank, our work centers on upcycling soap scraps into new bars of soap, creating dignified employment opportunities for women, and helping get soap to people who need it most. Global Links’ work similarly reflects a practical, community-centered approach to health and essential care, with a strong emphasis on collaboration.
That alignment is one of the reasons this partnership feels so natural.
As Global Links has continued to grow its Personal Care Kits Initiative, we are honored to play a role in helping support that work.
Global Links has long been committed to improving health in communities in need while building partnerships that increase access to essential care. Their work reflects an approach we deeply respect: mission-driven, thoughtful, and grounded in what communities and partner organizations actually need.
One part of that work is the Personal Care Kits Initiative, which has become an important source of support for people accessing local food pantries. These kits provide essential personal care items that help support hygiene, health, and dignity.
As the initiative has grown, so has its impact. Global Links now donates more than 10,000 personal care kits annually through local food pantries, making a real difference in the lives of people who need it most.
Access to soap and other personal care products is easy to take for granted, but for many families and individuals, these items can be difficult to afford consistently. When budgets are tight, essentials like soap, toothpaste, shampoo, deodorant, and lotion can become one more source of stress.
Personal care kits help meet that need in a practical and dignified way.
They can help people feel prepared for work, school, medical appointments, and daily life. They can ease pressure on families. And they can reinforce a sense of dignity by making essential products accessible through trusted community networks.
Global Links’ Personal Care Kits Initiative does exactly that, and we are proud that Eco-Soap Bank soap can now be included as part of that effort.
One of the most inspiring parts of this collaboration is seeing it come to life through the people who make it possible.
The photos shared by Global Links show volunteers packing and distributing personal care kits to community members. These images reflect hands-on care, local action, and people coming together to support one another.
From volunteers packing supplies to community partners helping distribute kits, each step represents a coordinated effort to make sure essential hygiene items reach people who need them.
We are proud that Eco-Soap Bank soap is now part of that process.
We are honored to spotlight Global Links and celebrate this collaboration.
Their leadership, care, and commitment to improving health in communities in need are evident in the scale and thoughtfulness of the Personal Care Kits Initiative. We are grateful for the opportunity to contribute to that work and excited about what this partnership represents.
We look forward to continuing this work together.
